Land Transfer Procedure PDF Print E-mail

1st STEP:
- Download the Transfer Form from our website or get it from Land Management Section and then submit the filled up Form to Land Management Section.

2nd STEP:
- The form should be attached with the following documents:

i. ID card copy of the Plot owner(transferor) and the Transferee.
ii. Internal agreement  ( Original )
iii. Latest Ownership Certificate (Lag Thram) issued by NLCS in original.
iv. NOC from family members ( original )
v. Census details of both the transfeorr & transferee.

vi. If the Land is mortgaged then clearance from the concerned financial institutions.

(OR) Refer the page No. two of the land transfer form.

3rd STEP:
- The completed filled up form should be submitted to the Land Management Section where both the Transferor and the Transferee should be present in person.

4th STEP:
- Then the Land Management Section will record the received date and give you the transaction ID No. and send the documents for verifications to the various Sections and Divisions. .

5th STEP:
- The Land Management Section prepare and check the documents which is then
forwarded to Head, LMS for further scrutiny and then is submitted to Executive Secretary for his approval.

6th STEP:
- After Executive Secretary's approval the original documents will be forwarded to National Land Commission Secretariat (NLCS) for final APPROVAL and issuance of LAG THRAM.

*This whole process takes about 45 working days if all the documents are intact and no problem arises.
