Development of parking space, construction of Retaining walls at Chang Rigphel Lower Secondary School, Olakha, Tender no. TCC/CMS-Schools/2009-10/04

TCC invites sealed Bids from eligible and qualified Bidders for the following works :

The period for execution of the assignment is 4 months for each work.

a) Renovation of Jigme Namgyel Lower Secondary School

b) Development of parking space and construction of Retaining walls at Chang Rigphel Lower Secondary School, Olakha Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the RGoB Procurement Manual and are open to all bidders registered as Class - C “W3” with CDB including other countries as defined in Section III of the Bidding Documents

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further required information regarding the said contract works and may inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below during working hours :

Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, City Corporation, Thimphu NPPF building located below Imtrat Hospital at Tel no. 324689, 336310, 322757, 324987, 338951 (fax) during office hours

Qualification requirements include :

Project Manager, Site Engineer/Supervisor, etc. A margin of preference for eligible national contractors/joint ventures/consortia/associations may be applied.

Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee (in cash) of Nu. 1000.00 (Ngultrum One thousand) only for each work.

The sale of Bidding documents shall commence from 21 December 2009 to 21 January 2010 during office hours. Administration Officer/Revenue Incharge City Corporation, Post Box # 215 Thimphu : Bhutan

Bids must be delivered to Administrative Officer/Revenue Incharge or deliver in tender box on or before 1200 Hours, 21/01/2010.

Electronic bidding shall not be permitted and late submission of Bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened in presence of the Bidder’s representatives who choose to attend in person on 21/01/2010 at 1430 Hours in the Conference Hall, Thimphu City Corporation

All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security of Nu.70,000.00 for Renovation of Jigme Namgyel Lower Secondary School and Nu. 43,000.00 for Development of parking space and construction of retaining walls at Chang Rigphel Lower Secondary School.

The Bid security should be in the form of Bank draft/Guarantee from a reputed financial Institution of Bhutan. The Bid security in cash shall not be accepted.

The Bid shall be addressed to the employer at the following address : Executive Secretary Thimphu City Corporation Post box # 215, Thimphu : Bhutan

Bidders should submit all valid documents with the Bidding document The Bidders must visit the work site prior to filling up tender to avoid any inconvenience on the part of Bidders

All the Bidders are advised to comply with section I : ITB prior to submission of the Bids Decision of TCC Tender Committee shall be final & binding
