1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Kuensel, Business Bhutan, Bhutan Today
2. The Executive Secretary, TCC now invites sealed Bids from eligible and qualified Bidders for Construction of compound wall with gate for Motithang Water Treatment Plant. The period for execution of the assignment is 2 (two) months.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the RGoB Procurement Manual, and are open to all bidders registered as class 'D' (W3) with CDB including other Countries as defined in Section III of the Bidding Documents
4. interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding Documents at the address given below:
   Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, TCC
   New NPPF Building at Tel. #: 324689, 336310 during Office hours.
5. Qualifications requirement include: (Site Engineer, Civil: 1 No.). A  margin of preference for eligible national contractors/joint ventures/consortia/associations may be applied
6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Nu. 500. The method of payment will b in cash. The sale of bidding documents shall commence from 18/12/2009 till 31/12/2009 during office hours.
   Administration Section, City Corporation, Thimphu, date 18/12/2009 to 31/12/2009 from 09:00  hours to 16:00 hours
7. Bids must be delivered to the address above on or before 12 hours, 31/12/2009. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the Bidders' representation who choose to attend in person or on-line at the address below at: 14:30 Hours 31/12/2009 at the Conference Hall of TCC.
8. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security of Nu. 19,900.00/- (Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred) Only
9. The bid shall be addressed to the employer at the following address:
   Executive Secretary, Thimphu City Corporation, Post Box No. 215, Thimphu: BHUTAN
10. The bidders must visit the site prior to filling up the tender to avoid any inconvenience on the part of bidders.
