Provision of street lights at various locations within Thimphu City (TCC/ED/E/01)

· SH I: Along Thori Lam (from Jn. Near JNLSS to Menri Lam), UpperMotithang

· SH II: Road from DPH to flyover bridge, Changzamtog

· SH III: Zangrel Lam (from FCB godown to ring road), Changzamtog

· SH IV: Tongsel & Rabjung Lam (MoLHR area), Lower Motithang

· SH V: At Kala Bazar area

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Kuensel, and Bhutan Times.

2. Executive Secretary, TCC now invites sealed Bids from eligible and qualified Bidders for ‘Provision of street lights at various locations within Thimphu City”. The period for execution of the assignment is 5 (five) months.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the RGoB Procurement Manual-2009, and are open to all bidders registered as class ‘C’ (W4) with CDB including other Countries as defined in Section III of the Bidding Documents

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below:

1. Qualifications requirements include :( Project Manager -1no, Site Engineer, Electrical-1 no.). A margin of preference for eligible national contractors/joint ventures/consortia/associations may be applied.
2. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Nu. 1,000.00. and the method of payment will be in cash. The sale of bidding documents shall commence from 23/11/2009 till 23/12/2009 during office hours at Administration Section, City Corporation, Thimphu.
3. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 12:00 Hours, 24/12/ 2009. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person or on-line at the address below at 14:30 Hours 24/12/ 2009 at the Conference Hall of TCC.
4. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security of Nu. 82,000.00/- (Eighty Two Thousand only)
5. The bid shall be addressed to the employer at the following address:

1. All valid documents should be enclosed along with the tender document.

1. The bidders must visit the site prior to filling up the tender to avoid any inconvenience on the part of bidders.

1. The Bidder should submit two sets of Bidding Documents marked as ORIGINAL (1set) and COPY (1set). The ‘Copy’ shall contain full set as the original.

1. All the bidders are advised to comply with section I: ITB prior to submission of the bids.

1. Decision of TCC Tender Committee shall be final & binding.
